Welcome to THE TELL//BY THRIFT & TELL: a celebration of fashionable women who dress as smart as they shop.
This week’s guest on THE TELL// is Stacie of Luxe Hunt. Her deal hunting skills are truly something to behold. A quick scan of her Instagram feed and you will be shocked to see the deals that she finds, whether she is looking for Gucci, Manolo Blahnik, or Old Navy. What I love about Stacie is that she doesn’t keep her secrets close to the chest; instead she lives by her motto, “we are all in this shopping adventure together.” I asked Stacie to share a tip as part of this interview, and, of course, she did not disappoint. “The best way to find deals is to build relationships with sales associates. They always have the best deals on current popular items. If you want Chanel shoes at 60% off, you need relationships with those people. Have several contacts at different department stores. They don’t need to be in your area. This includes outlets as well! They will text you when new items arrive. The more contacts you have, the better your odds.” With that tip, I am starting to build my Rolodex of sales associates now! While Stacie and I have never met, I look forward to one day hitting the Hermes sample sale together (will travel for deals!). Together, we would be a force to be reckoned with.

ABOUT STACIE
Stacie has loved deal hunting for as long as she can remember. It all started in junior high with a 90% off rack of peach and teal turtle necks at JCPenney. From there she spent countless hours at Ross, Marshalls, and outlets. It wasn’t until a few years later that she took her deal hunting to the next level. She started learning how to find high end, designer items at a fraction of the retail price. She has learned a lot over the years and now is ready to share with all of you.
